Social Action CSR Ideas- Sexism

It was important for me that we keep the CSR in the advert still relatable to it.

Since we chose sports wear in one unit for Advertising for Media Products, we decided to keep the CSR for Social Action and Community Media, the same. Sports related, and what problems come from it.

Sports problems are usually regarding racial or sex.

Since our presentation for Social Action and Community Media was about the problems regarding race, we had taken the gender problems that occur during sports.

My research started with one story:

Eugenie Bouchard.

Eugenie Bouchard is a 19 year old girl who had made Tennis history by becoming the first Canadian woman to make it to the semifinals of the Australian Open in over three decades. Most of the audience was Male, and when she reached this success and title, only one question was asked:

"Who would you date?"

It wasn't regarding her skill on the tennis court, or how she had felt after such an acheivment, it was only a sexist question in which even the Interviewer who had asked her the question, Samantha Smith, (who had received most of the questions through the male audience) apologized for what she was about to ask Eugenie.

Quote:

" “You’re getting a lot of fans here,” interviewer Samantha Smith, a former British tennis player, said. “A lot of them are male, and they want to know: If you could date anyone in the world of sport, of movies -– I’m sorry, they asked me to say this -– who would you date?” "

Medley

I love the way this was filmed, flawless camera work, and enjoyable, both in song and in visuals.

OFFLINE

I really liked the way they made something so simple a modern day dramatic problem. A thing which most people rely on dearly, and when it just goes, it becomes a serious problem.
Now what would happen if you get stuck with the same people who rely on the internet...and there was only one way you can get it back?

Let the WiFi games begin.

Consulting Detective- Text editing

I love the way the images show up and the text is used in an interesting way, definitely want to experiment in that technique.

Highlighting a Colour

May come in handy, for example advertisements or short films in order to bring out a certain colour out against the black and white.
